Although we have been in business since 2005, we have been developing for the web professionally since 1994. In an age where web design programs keep the developer as far from the code as possible, we dream in HTML and tables, stylesheets and javascript.

Some may call us purists, but it all comes down to building efficient, user-friendly websites. Building a web page in a 'what you see is what you get' editor adds in a lot of unnecessary code and poorly constructed pages. It may not look any different, but it makes a difference in how quickly pages load and what search engines see. We build every site with efficiency in mind.

Since Foothill Media is a design house, we can create all graphics ourselves, eliminating the need for coordination with outside graphics people (though we play nice with others if you have your own artist you like to use). We are comfortable with all server platforms and can create highly interactive, database-driven websites in either ASP, .NET or PHP. 		We designed the logo and website for Andrada & Associates, an Oakland CA based law firm.

		blog fm is our blog application we have implemented on many client sites. Offering all the features of mainstream apps with additional features we've found beneficial through the years. Designed as a custom application for use in both new and existing sites, the product continues to evolve and is infinitely customizable. We recently updated the design and added a couple new graphic-related features.

		Foothill Guide is a product of Foothill Media and continues on our tradition of building community websites. Catering to communities in the Sierra-Nevada Foothills area, there are 26 mini-sites and over 8,000 pages of content. Featuring business listings, real estate, classifieds, events calendars, and forums, the site will appeal to residents, businesses, and visitors alike. Built for speed, the site is not glitzy but does offer some cool effects like a changeable theme.

		Portfolio Development West is a retail center developer that offers investment opportunities in its own projects. We had to develop an even mix of building related imagery, as well as graphics depicting past projects. We also had to work in forms for information requests and create a site that provided all relevant information on investments, its risks, and benefits. Arriving at the final design took a few passes until we provided the dramatic effect the client wanted to see.

		MyMedClub.com is going toe-to-toe with Sermo, the leading physician's community. Offering physicians and medical school students forums in which to discuss cases and medical topics, this was another one-off custom solution as conventional forum packages lacked the functionality (and hence, architecture) to support the required features. Once again, time was tight and this site was created in just four weeks, coming in the day before the deadline. While M Cubed Medical sponsored this site, they are allowing us to spin off additional communities in other verticals as we brought them the basic idea for the site to boost their exposure.

		We created this site for CSY Property Management so that they could add, renew, and expire their property listings. They have full control over pictures, as well as an exhaustive list of property feature tools. A far cry from the old way of endless newspaper ads and phone calls. Now, potential renters can browse through all of CSY's listings, download the rental application, and even communicate with property managers through an intranet once they move in.

		M Cubed Medical, Inc. is a Group Purchase Organization for the medical community. We redesigned their website incorporating a blog, member registration, database-drive press release and events calendar with a full administrative back end.

		RateALeader.com is the first site used to rate leaders within the political, sports, and corporate fields. A database stores thousands of records, but the site generates static pages - to the tune of over 26,000 - of ratings and the associated XML files. The extra work involved to create static pages paid off immediately with top ten ratings on Google within the first month.

		Foothill Media has provided design and development services for Sensor Platforms since its inception. We created the latest revision of its website incorporating existing graphical elements while refining the overall design to produce a more visually appealing feel.

		Teenjobster.com is a jobs website aimed for the teen market. Built from scratch using PHP and MySQL, the client is a teen that came up with the idea while still in high school. The site features job creation, job templates, and date-based posting for employers, while the teen interface includes full search capabilities and saved jobs.

		The Sonoma County Council on Aging commissioned this blog site to provide a forum for the seniors they serve. Because of existing restrictions on their main website that utilizes a self-publishing platform, we had to create a separate site for the blog. This actually worked as an advantage since we could quickly deploy a blog fm implementation with a design that was similar to their main site.

		2020 Growth Partners, LLC is a national provider of strategic advisory, merchant banking, executive coaching, and leadership development services to growth-oriented private and public companies and their leaders. We designed and developed a new website for them, streamlining their message and identity.

		Heavenly Sweets is a candy store that was looking for a robust e-commerce system. We created a new system from scratch, redesigning their logo (as well as business cards and brochure), and a payment system that is integrated with PayPal. Every page is search engine optimized to target the keyword chocolate and now sits on the number one spot for "Chocolate Oreos". The online store has suspended operation and has plans to open a new business in the coming months. We will create their new website.

		Credit Financial Planning needed a site redesign that featured a fresh design and reinforced their existing branding. A flash-based home page that was on their site originally prevented search engines from finding the interior pages. We built a search engine optimized site that will increase traffic. We also began the development of their Credit Track system which will reduce the work of staff by automating many functions.

		You might think that I receive a lot of work from my brother because we're family. Not so. One of his associates commented to me, "You must be very good at what you do for your brother to recommend you." To which I replied, "Oh yes, I had to earn that respect." This latest site utilizes our blog fm application and utilizes a client-administrated press release and news features. We also encoded the client's speaker demo in Flash.
